Women at ‘low risk’ of pre-eclampsia are most commonly those from unselected obstetric populations and may be nulliparous or multiparous. (Please see Appendix 6.1 for details of individual randomised controlled trials or systematic reviews of randomised controlled trials that reported on the outcomes of pre-eclampsia, gestational hypertension, maternal morbidity, small-for-gestational-age (SGA) infants, or neonatal morbidity such as neonatal intensive care stay.)
